2009Bandhavgarh National Park
Due to unseasonal rains in central India, we cut short our stay at Kanha and drove to Bandhavgarh earlier than planned, to try and make up for the two safaris that we had missed at Kanha. Egyptian vultures along the way made it a good journey and the sighting of two tigress, Chakradhara and Mahamand during our jeep safaries at the national park, was fabulous. Also, photographing vultures soaring in the sky, at eye level or most often, below your eye level, from the edge of Bandhavghar fort was the high point of this trip.
